A Russian cuisine café in the center of Tashkent, which was designed as a tribute to the collection of the 1920s Russian avant-garde kept in the Savitsky Art Museum. We tried to compare two worlds – the old one, with its green hall, symbolizing the old style of life, and the new one, with its rejection of embellishing and luxury. Most of the lighting was provided by local fixtures along the walls. The bridge that cuts the main hall across, coupled with a golden column, harks back to the dynamics of the Avant-Garde artists.
